Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2, 2026

Good news: we barely use cookies. Unlike most websites that bombard you with consent popups and track your every move, Kache PDF takes a minimal approach. Here's exactly what we use and why.

1

Our Cookie Philosophy

We believe cookies should be functional, not invasive. Kache PDF only uses essential storage mechanisms that make the site work better for you.

We don't use cookies for advertising, tracking, or building profiles about you.

2

What We Use

  • Local Storage: Saves your preferences (like theme settings or tool configurations).
  • Session Storage: Keeps temporary data during your browsing session so tools can function correctly.
  • Essential Cookies: Minimal cookies that may be required for basic site functionality.
3

What We Don't Use

  • Advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
  • Third-party analytics that follow you across the web.
  • Social media tracking widgets.
  • Cross-site tracking mechanisms.
  • Any cookie that shares data with advertisers or data brokers.
4

Local Storage Details

Local Storage is similar to cookies but stays in your browser and isn't sent with every request. We use it to remember things like your preferred settings, so you don't have to reconfigure the tools every time you visit.

This data never leaves your browser.

5

Analytics (If Any)

If we use any analytics, it's privacy-respecting and anonymized. We might track aggregate page views to understand which tools are popular, but we don't track individual users, build profiles, or sell data.

We're more interested in improving the tools than studying your behavior.

6

Your Control

  • You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings at any time.
  • The site will work without saved preferences – you'll just need to set them up again.
  • Your browser's private or incognito mode will prevent persistent storage.
  • We respect Do Not Track signals, though there's not much to track anyway.
7

No Consent Banner Needed

Because we only use strictly necessary storage for functionality and don't engage in tracking, we don't need to pester you with a cookie consent banner.

We find those annoying too, and our privacy-first approach means they're simply not necessary.

8

Third-Party Content

Kache PDF doesn't embed third-party content that sets tracking cookies. We don't have social share buttons that track you, embedded videos that monitor viewing, or ads that build profiles.

The page you see is exactly what you get.

9

Technical Details

For the technically curious: all PDF processing libraries (PDF.js, PDF-Lib, etc.) run client-side and don't set cookies or phone home.

Any data they process exists only in your browser's memory during the session.

10

Changes to This Policy

If we ever need to change how we use cookies or storage, we'll update this page.

Given our commitment to minimal tracking, changes would more likely remove things than add them.
